The Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) will be convening a series of regional virtual and in-person stakeholder engagement meetings that are open to the public from July through November of 2022.
The BHA and HCPF are partnering to strengthen the current Colorado crisis continuum and in particular the mobile crisis response system. As part of this effort, Colorado will be taking advantage of an option included in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to establish a community-based mobile crisis intervention service under Medicaid for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis.
During these meetings, BHA and HCPF will provide a high-level overview of the federal option contained in ARPA, outline the proposed design for the new MCR benefit in Colorado, and solicit feedback from individuals and families, local government, providers, and other interested stakeholders on regional needs in the implementation of the benefit.
In addition, you can ask questions, provide input and share comments HERE anytime.
More information about the Colorado Crisis Virtual Stakeholder Sessions can be found below as well as in the attached flyer. We encourage you to share the flyer with other community partners who would benefit from this information.
