BHA Licensing Tool (LADDERS) Demo

Behavioral Health Claims & Eligibility (BHC&E) Update
- We are updating the name of the “BHAB - BHA Benefit Plan” inside the Medicaid MMIS system (also known as the Provider Portal and the Colorado interChange)
- Going forward, “BHAB - BHA Benefit Plan” has been renamed to “BHAB - Not billable” to further clarify that it is not a Fee-For-Service benefit program.
- This does not impact any BHA funded services, it is only an administrative update within the software.
- All BHA funded services should continue to be provided as usual, and you should submit encounters as specified in your contract.
Bed Tracking & Care Coordination Tools
- Launch is being delayed, however running a 1 week pilot of bed tracking tool to gather additional feedback from providers.
- Any provider that is currently licensed and/or credentialed by BHA and is currently inputting bed capacity in EMResource is eligible to participate in the pilot.
- Eligible providers will be getting direct emails from BHA’s technology team with more information on how to participate.

- Where can I register for the BHA Town Hall meetings?

Licensing & LADDERS
Does the Essential Safety Net Provider License exist separately or does it require a BHE license?
The essential approval is separate. If the provider is required to have a BHE independent of the approval, it is required for essential approval. If they are not required to have a BHE, they just must have the appropriate license (for example, through CDPHE or DORA)Where would I find the definition of care coordination that is required of Safety Net Providers?

The provider should notify their licensing manager that they intend to surrender their license.
