I am a Policy Specialist with the Policy and Performance Section of the Colorado Division of Child Support Services (CSS). My subject areas are Case Closure, Non-Disclosure of Information (NDI), Confidentiality, Foster Care, Medical, Intake and Locate. I started with the Colorado Division of CSS in June 1998 in the State Enforcement Unit. Prior to that, I was a legal technician with Denver County. I also worked as an eligibility technician for AFDC (old TANF) and Adult Medical Programs at the county level over the eight years I was in the county.

I have to say, I love my job. Everyday brings on new challenges and questions that make you think. My favorite part of my job is training. I love to talk and training allows me to do that and share my knowledge. I love to see the new workers that are coming on board. The energy in our program is strong. I have met so many wonderful people over the years and many are still my friends that I keep in touch with on Facebook and snail mail.

My husband, Dana, and I have two grown boys who live close by. We also have a grandson who is two and half who we take care of on Mondays. He sure knows how to keep grandma limber(sore) with all the playtime on the floor. I think Yoga is in my near future!

Many of my coworkers know that I am a paper crafter and love most crafts. I started off scrapbooking over 20 years ago, and now that pictures are on our phones and other devices, I mostly make cards now. I hope to create cards and sell them on the web someday so I can use up all my supplies. I don’t know if I am a card maker or collector of card making products? When I’m not busy crafting, I enjoy boating with family, especially now that we just bought our dream boat a couple of years ago.
