DENVER, CO – Sept.8, 2025 – In an effort to celebrate and bring attention to Recovery Month in Colorado The Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and its Lift The Label campaign will unveil eight new Recovery Cards at the Denver Rally for Recovery on Sept. 20 at Civic Center Park. Crafted by a mix of new and returning artists from across the state, these designs champion hope and healing within the recovery community. BHA and Lift the Label invite community members to join them in support of Recovery Month, and at the unveiling of this year’s new cards.

"The Denver Rally for Recovery showcases the incredible strength of our recovery community. When one person in Colorado finds recovery, it enriches our entire state,” said Dr. Kelly Causey, BHA Deputy Commissioner. “This project is a shining example of our shared commitment to a Colorado where every person's well-being is valued and celebrated, and a powerful example of how a simple act of empathy can dismantle the barriers of stigma."

The unveiling will be a highlight of the Denver Rally for Recovery, Colorado's largest recovery event, featuring larger-than-life card displays, empowering speakers and community resources. Attendees can fill out cards for those in recovery, and take some for loved ones they support. Several of the talented artists behind the new card designs will be present to share their insights and inspiration.

"I appreciate the project's support of the recovery community and of local artists. I am grateful that my artwork can connect people to the ones they love, in meaningful ways to provide encouragement!" said Elizabeth Truskin of Denver, the artist of the “New Beginnings” card, unveiled for this year.

The cards have been designed by the following artists from throughout Colorado:

Elizabeth Truskin, Denver
Hannah Agosta, Denver
Jason Link, Aurora
Katherine Kim, Aurora
Katie Steinharter, Winter Park
Mari Munet, Denver
Melissa Mika, Fort Collins
Sophia Borchers, Cortez

Attendees can fill out cards for those in recovery, and take some for loved ones they support. Artists will be present, with a photo op planned.

Lift The Label combats stigma preventing individuals from seeking substance use disorder treatment. The Recovery Cards Project is key, providing tools for connection and support.
