Completing the County Auxiliary System Study

Resource Document for County Directors

What: CDHS and HCPF have procured a neutral, third party vendor, Slalom, to conduct a study in partnership with counties to help identify a unified approach across the state for document storage and workflow management functionality across CHATS, Trails, ACSES and CBMS. 

Who: State agencies, all counties and all impacted through Health & Human Services service delivery.

Meet Jeffrey Thompson

I received my BA in psychology in 2013 from the University of Colorado at Denver. Shortly after graduation, I accepted a position in Child Support enforcement with Jefferson County. In March of 2016, I transitioned into the role of Parent Support Specialist with Jeffco’s Fatherhood/Parenthood Program.

Meet Mary Clair

I am a Policy Specialist with the Policy and Performance Section of the Colorado Division of Child Support Services (CSS). My subject areas are Case Closure, Non-Disclosure of Information (NDI), Confidentiality, Foster Care, Medical, Intake and Locate. I started with the Colorado Division of CSS in June 1998 in the State Enforcement Unit. Prior to that, I was a legal technician with Denver County.

The Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible Coloradans pay a portion of their winter home heating costs. Our goal is to help bring warmth, comfort and safety to your home and family by assisting with heating costs.

Child Protection and Prevention Unit Spotlight

The Child Protection and Prevention unit is part of the Division of Child Welfare in the Office of Children, Youth, and Families. The unit staff oversees county child protection practice from the time of an abuse and neglect referral through the closing of an assessment. The team is responsible for policy and practice for mandated reporting, Hotline and data gathering, screening and disposition processes, and assessments. The unit also includes team members with responsibility for ensuring reporting and practice alignment with federal child abuse prevention and treatment laws.
